One of Wales’ biggest ever renewable energy investments takes vital step towards delivery
find out more >Cymen is a Welsh <> English translation company based in Caernarfon. With the expansion of energy projects in Wales over the last decade, we’ve developed particular expertise and knowledge in this important growth sector. This work includes translating environmental impact assessments, PR and marketing leaflets, stakeholder engagement, and simultaneous interpretation in planning hearings.
We strongly believe that it’s essential that significant developments, such as Awel y Môr, are able to communicate with the local community in their language of choice. Working on behalf of RWE, their role is to personalise the bilingual messages to the various audiences.
Cymen is proud to support RWE in delivering bilingual services such as general correspondence, marketing materials and the project website. This proves RWE’s commitment to the linguistic landscape of the host community.
Aled Jones, joint-owner of Cymen, said: “As a company, we are passionate about our positive contribution to the environment and sustainability. Cymen operates a cycle-to-work scheme, we’re working towards the net zero target, we’re a fair trade company, we run electric vehicles for as many work related journeys as possible, and have successfully maintained our environmental management accreditation for over 10 years.
“Our translators have excelled in the challenge of researching the concepts associated with Awel y Môr and coining new technological phrases. Welsh is a living language and it needs to evolve and grow alongside such sustainable developments. Cymen is proud to be involved in this very important and exciting project.
