As part of RWE’s community work, while developing the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm off the North Yorkshire coast, a suite of high-quality teaching materials for primary-age children was created to bring geography, science and other subjects, to life.

Working with a nearby multi-school academy trust and a locally-based, experienced educational resources provider, the online assets created included videos presented by a local pupil, interactive maps and planning tools.

There have also been a number of professional development sessions delivered on how the resources are designed to fit in with the existing curriculum, with 20 teachers from 17 different schools from across Teesside able to attend.
