Marine Licence Application

and supporting documents

This is our Marine Licence application, submitted to Natural Resources Wales (NRW) Marine Licencing Team (MLT) on 30 May and accepted as ‘duly made’ by NRW-MLT on 20 June. NRW-MLT will manage and determine the application on behalf of Welsh Ministers.

To avoid confusion and minimise duplication of effort for all, the marine licence application essentially comprises the marine elements of the Development Consent Order (DCO) application (i.e. with onshore DCO chapters removed). Generic DCO chapters that cover both on- and offshore matters are retained where relevant. A signposting document (‘Guide to the ML Application’) is included to aid navigation.

Please refer to our DCO application page (DCO Application – Awel Y Mor) for the shared application documents, in line with the Guide to the ML Application to assist you.

Look out for NRW’s separate consultation on offshore elements of the project under the marine licencing regulations. This will be advertised in local press, and we will keep stakeholders informed of this (and DCO matters) via the project website and future editions of our project newsletter. Sign up below.
