Community Transport

Dolen Teifi, is a sustainable community transport organisation that was financially supported by the Brechfa Forest Onshore Wind Farm in employing a development officer for two years, as well as the purchase of a five-seater, fully disability-accessible electric vehicle plus installing four new charge points and providing training for community members.

The new electric vehicle has helped local people make hundreds of journeys, connecting people with medical appointments and other vital services, as well as preventing isolation at a low carbon cost.

As a result, Dolen Teifi was then able to successfully access National Lottery funding to expand the scheme further, purchasing three additional electric vehicles.
