One of Wales’ biggest ever renewable energy investments takes vital step towards delivery
find out more >Workplace Worksafe Ltd currently supplies personal protective equipment (PPE) to the hundreds of staff that work at the Port of Mostyn, and has been supplying the Awel y Môr project team with clothing as they conduct surveys and other work around North Wales.
The company employs 14 staff and, as well as supplying PPE and clothing, has also developed a range of other products for protecting valuable turbine components during transit.
Rhian Parry, Managing Director, said: “There are big opportunities even for smaller businesses in renewable energy.
“One good example is our Deltasafe & SiTsafe protective transport products: we developed these here in Ruthin and now they are sold by a major component manufacturer to wind farms across the world, saving hundreds of man-hours on every site they are used on each year, as well as eliminating the single use plastic and cardboard that was previously used in the supply chain when transporting the items.
“We’ve already built a good relationship with the Awel y Môr team, which we hope to continue should the project receive development consent.”
